Seeding and Top Dressing

Top Dressing is the process of adding addition soil over an existing lawn. The additional product is usually either a rich black soil, or a mix of soil and sand often referred to as a turf blend. 

Top Dressing can be done for a number of reasons:

• Assist in Thatch Control. By introducing a high quality soil or soil mix into the lawn, decomposition processes are enhanced via the introduction of micro-organisms
• Helps Over-Seeding Germination: With Top Dressing, the new seed has a fertile soil from which to more easily germinate.
• Levels the lawn:  Probably the most common use of a Top Dressing is simply to level the lawn and create an even surface.

Costs of Top Dressing will vary based and is quoted upon request. Soil requirements can be estimated only and billed at job completion based on actual usage.
